Crystals and How to care for them
15 Apr 2006
Every Crystal Chicks energy activator comes cleaned and charged with receptivity for your intentions or purpose for adding the activator to your home. Depending on its role in your home, over time they can become clogged or sticky. When you feel they need a recharge, clean it. OK, so how can you clean your crystal?
In our search we’ve discovered that there are several methods of cleaning crystals. This is about the simplest method that anyone can use without any training or special knowledge.
SEA SALT DRY
SEA SALT WET
SEA SALT DRY- This is probably the best and simplest all around method to use. Please note that Sea salt may be caustic to some softer stones and damage finishes on stones so apply this only to your crystals. Do not use table salt since it contains additions that are not in the best interest of cleaning your crystal. Put the sea salt into a bowl and place the crystal in the sea salt and leave 24 hours. If you have a beaded strand, only place the crystal in the salt, not the wire or beads.
SEA SALT WET – This is another simple method. Please note that Sea salt may be caustic to some softer stones and damage finishes on stones so apply this only to your crystals. – place 1 Tablespoon of sea salt into a cup of lukewarm bottle or distilled water and submerge your crystal (not the wire or beads) into the water and let it sit for at least one hour. Once removed place your crystal in a window to dry and absorb the energy from the sun. Don’t worry if it’s a clouded day, the sun’s rays will still infuse live energy into the crystal.
But far more important that strictly following a set of instructions, if you hold the intention of cleaning your crystals and recharging them to be helpful to you in your space, it really doesn't matter if you use salt or not or simply rinse them under clear water.
To keep your crystals working at peak performance, you may want to perform this simple exercise on a weekly or monthly basis.
